The Hobonichi Techo HON can be used without a cover and is just like a book. A hardcover design is already attached to the book, making it more compact and easy to carry around than putting a cover over an Hobonichi Techo Original.

The HON also uses the same Tomoe River paper designed for planners. Its contents are the same as the Hobonichi Techo Original with daily pages covering January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024 and has quotes on the bottom of the page. It also includes the same yearly calendar, monthly calendars, yearly index, and bonus pages.  

The A5 size HON contains weekly calendars that are useful for managing detailed schedules for the week. The timeline covers a full day from 5 AM to 4 AM the following day, allowing users to record any and all plans.
